Sensational Parents Spring Coffee Morning

Many thanks to Diana for hosting the Sensational Parents Spring Coffee Morning at the North East Sensory Service (NESS) base in John Street at the end of last term.  It was good to have a cuppa and catch up with what has been happening with our families.

Many thanks also to Jill for letting us know about a great website she has been using to find out where accessible changing places are available when travelling.   It is so helpful to help parents plan for a comfort break when children get older and need suitable facilities.

The Changing Places Consortium launched its campaign in 2006 on behalf of the over 1/4 of a million people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. This includes people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, as well as older people.

Look out for details of our Sensational Parents Summer Coffee Morning coming soon!
